Chess & Game Club

Learn the art of chess and other games with the master of fun and strategy, Nick Allison. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 are welcome to join every Monday from 4:30-5:30 PM in the Community Room. Game supplies will be provided.

Teen Action Council

The Teen Action Council gathers to discuss plans and come up with ways for the Library to serve teens. Ages 13-18 are invited to join us Wednesday, March 5 in the Community Room at 4 PM!

Cook with a Book

“May the odds be ever in your flavor.” Join us for Cook With a Book as we dive into The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and bake Peeta’s famous stuffed cheese rolls. Join us Thursday, March 6 from 4:00-5:30 PM in the Community Room Kitchen. Ages 12-18.

Family Friendly Films

Looking for a fun movie afternoon on the big screen? Join us for Free Family Friendly Films on Fridays at 3:30 PM in the Community Room! We’ve got new releases and beloved classics lined up:

  • March 7 – Lady & the Tramp (G)

  • April 18 – Moana 2 (PG)

All ages welcome, but children 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible party aged 14 or older. Parents, please prescreen the films to ensure they’re right for your little movie fans!

Young League of Writers

Tie up those loose ends! Teens 12-18 are invited to Young League of Writers on Wednesday, March 12 from 4:00-5:30 PM in the Community Room to make new friends and discover how to craft satisfying story resolutions.

Manga and Animation Art Club

Manga & Animation Art Club is back on Thursday, March 13 at 4:30 PM in the Community Room! This month, ages 12-18 will bring a simple flour sack to life, mastering animation techniques like squash and stretch, timing, and giving personality through movement. Come see how much character you can create from something so simple!

Dungeons & Dragons

Calling all teen adventurers! Join us for Dungeons & Dragons on Friday, March 14 at 3:30 PM in the Community Room. Whether you’re a seasoned hero or a curious beginner, this classic role-playing game lets you create your own character, choose your story path, and roll the dice to determine your fate! Experienced players can bring their own characters (5th Edition rules), or try out one of our pre-made adventurers—perfect for those just starting out. Ages 12-18. Ready your swords and spells… the journey awaits!

What’s at the end of a leprechaun’s rainbow? Find out at Teen LEGO Club on Wednesday, March 19 from 4:30-5:30 PM in the Community Room! Brick magicians, “block” heads, and LEGO lovers (ages 12-18) will design and build their own lucky creations. Come see what magic is in store!

Anime Club

Shoot for the stars with Teen Anime Club! Join us on Thursday, March 20 from 4:00-5:30 PM in the Community Room to watch A Galaxy Next Door and make tea light planets with fellow anime fans. Open to ages 12-18!

An Interactive Goofy Movie!

Get Goofy with us at the Teen Party on Friday, March 21, from 7-9 PM in the Community Room! Shake off school stress with an interactive movie experience featuring A Goofy Movie! You might perform “The Perfect Cast,” blow up Goofy’s car, or light up Powerline’s concert stage—who knows what’ll happen when Goofy’s involved? Teens ages 12-18, don’t miss the fun!

Dungeon Master Boot Camp

Dungeon Master Boot Camp for teens 13-18! Join us on Saturday, March 29, from 11 AM – 1 PM in the Community Room for a hands-on session on creating and refining your own D&D campaign. Learn how to structure your story, guide its progression, and set expectations as a DM. Bring an outline or idea, and we’ll refine your world, explore storytelling elements, and even test ideas with a short role-play session. Don’t miss this chance to collaborate and bring your adventures to life!

Armchair Traveler Challenge: Apprentice Artist

Reading can inspire creativity and we are painting a masterpiece! Take an epic journey with us this year as we explore the world of art, from color and style to history and industry. Armchair travelers will read books to create a portfolio of canvases that earn them opportunities to enter the final drawing for our grand prizes. Any reader who joins us for even a portion of the trip will receive small prizes along the way.
