Bring your resume to the front Circulation Desk at the library, and leave it with the Circulation Clerk. 

We do not accept emailed resumes, and do not have an online form for applications.

Due to the high volume of resumes we receive, we are unable to contact each applicant individually regarding the status of their application.  All submitted resumes are kept on file for 90 days and are reviewed for any position that may become available during that time.

Job Title: Youth Services Collection Development Librarian


Job Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk)
Hourly Rate:$15+/hr DOE

Position Summary

The Youth Services Collection Development Librarian supports the ongoing organization, maintenance, and accessibility of the library’s physical collections while also assisting with essential public-facing services, including reference and circulation tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, accuracy, and strong communication skills to contribute to both back-end and front-line library operations.

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • One regularly scheduled evening shift per week (typically 12PM – 8:00 PM)
  • Rotating Saturday shifts as part of the library’s weekend coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in library science, education, or related field preferred
  • Previous library experience or customer service experience preferred
  • Familiarity with library systems, cataloging standards, and Dewey Decimal Classification is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to various roles and multitask in a dynamic environment
