Take a Break Book Club
Join our Take a Break Book Club on Thursday, January 23 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room for an engaging discussion of A Fever in the Heartland by Timothy Egan. This riveting saga recounts how a predatory con man became one of the most powerful people in 1920s America, Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, with a plan to rule the country—and how a grisly murder of a woman brought him down. Ages 18+ only. Don’t miss it!
Armchair Traveler Challenge
Reading can inspire creativity and we are painting a masterpiece! Take an epic journey with us this year as we explore the world of art, from color and style to history and industry. Armchair artists will read books to create a portfolio of canvases that earn them opportunities to enter the final drawing for our grand prizes. Any reader who joins us for even a portion of the trip will receive small prizes along the way. Sign up starting January 2nd at the Library Circulation Desk!
