Free Family Friendly Films
Looking for a fun movie afternoon on the big screen? Join us for Free Family Friendly Films on Fridays at 3:30 PM in the Community Room! We’ve got new releases and beloved classics lined up:
- Nov. 1: The Garfield Movie (PG)
- Nov. 15: Despicable Me 4 (PG)
All ages welcome, but children 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible party aged 14 or older. Parents, please prescreen the films to ensure they’re right for your little movie fans!
Creative Writing Club
Calling all adult writers ages 18+! Join our Creative Writing Club on Wednesday, November 6 at 6 PM in the Community Room and November 20 at 6 PM in the Activity Room. Whether you’re a seasoned storyteller or just starting out, this is your chance to share your favorite piece, meet fellow writers, and talk about what makes writing your passion. Let’s create and connect!
Adult Makers: Cooking the Books
Join us for Adult Makers: Cooking the Books on Friday, November 15 at 7 PM! Celebrate the end of our Armchair Traveler challenge by exploring pies from across the U.S. Pick a pie recipe from Stacey Mei Yan Fong’s 50 Pies, 50 States, make it, and bring it to share with the group. Whether sweet or savory, simple or complex, there’s a pie for everyone. Come enjoy great company and delicious treats as we swap stories and slices. Ages 18+.
Take a Break Book Club
Take a break and dive into a mystery! Ages 18+, join us on Thursday, November 21 at 6:30 PM in the Library’s Entry Foyer for our Take a Break book club’s discussion of Ann Cleeves’s Raven Black. Unravel the twists and turns of this gripping crime novel with fellow book lovers. Newcomers are always welcome!
