Story Time
Gallop into Story Time fun this October!
- Toddler Time (ages 10-23 months) on Mondays & Tuesdays at 9:30 AM and Book Babies (ages 0-9 months) on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM will both feature “Clippity-clop, on a horse and pony we’ll hop!” Note: there will be no Toddler Time on October 7.
- Story Time (ages 2-5) on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM & 6:30 PM, and Wednesdays at 10:30 AM will explore the letter “H” with weekly themes:
Oct. 1-2: Something NEW just for YOU!
Oct. 8-9: Horses & Ponies
Oct. 15-16: Hedgehogs
Oct. 22-23: Hibernation
Oct. 29-30: Halloween - Hora de Cuentos en Español (2-5 años) los lunes a las 10:30 AM:

28 de octubre: Víspera de Todos los Santos - SPECIAL Halloween Tricks or Treats Story Time for all ages on October 31st! Come dressed up and join us for fun activities at either 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, or 12:30 PM!

Kid ‘n’ Tween Tuesday STEAM
Join us every Tuesday at 4 PM in the Community Room for Kid ‘n’ Tween Tuesday STEAM! Explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math with fun, hands-on activities. Here’s what’s coming up in October:
- Oct. 1: Polarity and density with lava lamps
- Oct. 8: LEGO balancing act!
- Oct. 15: Mystery science adventure with Cheryl Kimber from IdahoPTV
- Oct. 22: Discover what lurks in the shadows… LEGOS!
- Oct. 29: Bones, skeletons, and everything in-between
Perfect for curious minds between 6-11 years old!
Chess & Game Club
Learn the art of chess and other games with the master of fun and strategy, Nick Allison. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 are welcome to join every Monday from 4:30-5:30 PM in the Community Room. Game supplies will be provided.
Ahoy, me hearties! Mark your calendars for our annual Pirate’s Dice Tournament on October 21! Come dressed as your favorite pirate and set yer sails for a jolly good time!
Great Reads for Girls
Calling all young detectives and fairytale fans! Join us for Great Reads for Girls on Thursday, October 10 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room as we dive into The Fairytale Detectives, the first book in The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley. Girls ages 8-11, bring your favorite adult and get ready for a night of magical mysteries and enchanted adventures!
Books for Boys
Adventure awaits for boys ages 8-11! Join us for Books for Boys on Thursday, October 17 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room as we journey into the depths with Gregor the Overlander, the first book in The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins. Bring your favorite adult, and get ready for a night of epic quests and underground discoveries!

Shiver and Shock Glow Party with Josh Allen
Get ready for a night of spooks and glow-in-the-dark fun at the Shiver and Shock Glow Party with author Josh Allen! Join us on Saturday, October 19 at 7 PM in the Library Community Room for an unforgettable evening of chills as Josh reads by the fire from his latest book, Once They See You: 13 Stories to Shiver and Shock! Feel the goosebumps rise and enjoy glow party activities for the whole family! This event is for all ages, so bring everyone for a frightfully fun night!
Hogwarts Hijinks: The Weasley Halloween Heist
Calling all wizards and witches! Join us for Hogwarts Hijinks: The Weasley Halloween Heist—an exciting Harry Potter-themed escape room! Help Fred and George Weasley pull off their biggest prank yet by sneaking into Filch’s office to retrieve a confiscated item before time runs out.
October 21-26 in the Activity Room

Join us on Monday, October 21 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room for an evening of music and talent! All ages, instruments, styles, and skill levels are welcome to perform.
