Teen Action Council
Have a say in what goes on at the Library for teens! Ages 13-18 are welcome to join us Wednesday, Sept. 4th at 4 PM in the Community Room to voice their input.
Manga and Animation Art Club
Calling all teens ages 12-18 who love art and anime! Join our new Manga and Animation Art Club where we’ll learn from professional artists and each other. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, come to our first meeting to learn, create, and share your work with fellow fans! Bring your art, your ideas, and your passion—let’s make something amazing together! Thursday, Sept. 5 at 4:30 PM in the Community Room. Don’t miss out!
Family Friendly Films
Looking for a fun way to kick off your weekend? Join us on Friday, September 6 at 3:30 PM in the Community Room for a screening of IF (rated PG)! This new favorite is all set to be enjoyed on the big screen. It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon with family and friends!

- Children under 12 must be accompanied by someone 14 or older.
- Parents, please pre-screen the movie to ensure it’s right for your child.

Chess & Game Club
Learn the art of chess and other games with the master of fun and strategy, Nick Allison. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 are welcome to join every Monday* from 4:30-5:30 PM in the Community Room. Game supplies will be provided.
*There will be no Chess & Game Club on Sept. 2, Labor Day.
Young League of Writers
Calling all aspiring writers! Join us for Young League of Writers on Wednesday, September 11th at 4:00 PM in the Community Room. This month, we’re diving into the art of crafting the perfect opening line to hook your readers from the very start. Open to teens ages 12-18. Let’s turn those story ideas into captivating tales!
Teen LEGO Club
Are you a brick magician? A “block” head? Or looney for LEGOs? Teens ages 12-18 are invited to join our new Teen LEGO Club! On Thursday, September 12 at 4:30 PM, we’ll take on a creative challenge—building ‘mirror worlds’ where one half reflects your unique design and the other goes in a different direction. Let’s see what you can create!
Dungeons & Dragons
Calling all teen adventurers! Join us for Dungeons & Dragons on Fridays, September 13 & 27 at 3:30 PM in the Community Room. Whether you’re a seasoned hero or a curious beginner, this classic role-playing game lets you create your own character, choose your story path, and roll the dice to determine your fate!
Experienced players can bring their own characters (5th Edition rules), or try out one of our pre-made adventurers—perfect for those just starting out. Let the adventure unfold!

Cook With a Book
Calling all teen wizards and witches! Join us on Wednesday, September 18 at 4 PM in the Community Room for a special Cook With a Book event! We’ll be diving into the enchanting world of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and whipping up some of Harry’s favorite treats—delicious pumpkin pasties and frothy butterbeer!
Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff, all witches and wizards (ages 12-18) are welcome! Don’t miss this chance to discuss the magic of Hogwarts while making some spellbinding snacks.
Anime Club
Hey teen anime fans! Join us for an epic Anime Club meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 4 PM in the Community Room. We’re watching Makoto Shinkai’s stunning film Your Name. No need to sign up, just show up and enjoy an evening of anime, manga chats, and fun games with fellow fans! Ages 12-18 welcome. See you there!
Teen Crafts
Teens (ages 12-18), grab your friends and join us on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 4:30 PM in the Community Room for a fun afternoon of Teen Crafts. We’ll listen to music and create awesome book pumpkins to get ready for Halloween. Take home your awesome art project and get into the spooky spirit. We can’t wait to see you there!
Armchair Traveler Challenge
Have you ever wanted to travel to all 50 states? Take an epic journey with us this year as we visit each great state of our nation. Armchair travelers ages 12 and up will read one book set in each state, earning state stickers and opportunities to enter the final drawing for our grand prizes. Any reader who joins us for even a portion of the trip will have the opportunity to earn small prizes along the way. Each reader who completes the journey will earn a special travel bag commemorating their travels. See more details here.
