When you’re talking with your preschooler, look for opportunities to use different words to help build his or her vocabulary. A large vocabulary is important for a child who is learning to read.
Play the “ask” game while talking with your preschooler. Ask lots of questions that don’t have a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer which allows them to use their vocabulary. Then try and find the words in their environment, on the computer, or in a book!

Each year, from June through July, we host Summer Reading. Our program for teens has lots of events and parties.
The 2021 Summer Reading Theme is “Tails and Tales.” The possibilities are endless! Pick up your prizes at the front booth.
Last day to sign-up is July 24th.
Program ends July 31st.
All entries must be received by Monday, July 26th, 2021.
Winners will be announced on Friday, July 31st, 2020 via Facebook, Instagram and email.
First prize- Scrivener writing software ($50 value).
