April 19, 2024 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
"Baking Yesteryear: The Best Recipes from the 1900s to the 1980s" is a new, quirky, and thoroughly entertaining cookbook by Dylan Hollis. But how good are the recipes? We're going to find out. The book will be hanging at the reference desk (by the computers) where we can make you a copy or you can take a picture on your phone. Come by, select one that you'd like to try making, and bring samples to the event tonight. Be prepared to tell us what it was like creating it. Was it smooth sailing or full of glitches? Worth the time and effort? Will you make it again?
A fun getaway from the kids night with grown-up discussions and built in treats!

Teen Dungeons & Dragons
Teen Dungeons & Dragons
April 26, 2024 from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
In this classic role-playing game, you create your character, choose how they interact with the story, and use dice to decide the outcomes of your actions.
This event is open to all teens (ages 12 to 18). Both beginners and experienced players are welcome. Bi-monthly sessions will occur; check calendar for scheduled dates.
The game will consist of one, 1 to 2 hour session for first level characters (opportunities to level up are provided between sessions). Experienced players may use their own character if they wish, but pre-made characters will also be available. All characters should be made using only the resources available in the core 5th Edition player’s handbook.
